🎄 A Christmas Message from Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd

Christmas is a season that reminds us of the greatest gift ever given – Jesus Christ, our hope and salvation. At Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd, this season calls us to reflect on the year behind us and the purpose that guides our work.

Through football, community engagement, and service, we have witnessed lives transformed and hope restored. Inspired by the love and humility of Jesus Christ, we are committed to using sport as a tool to build character, unity, and opportunity within our communities. Christmas reminds us that true impact flows from love, service, and faith in action.

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we extend our heartfelt wishes to our partners, supporters, players, coaches, artisans, and communities across Rwanda. May His peace fill your homes, His joy strengthen your hearts, and His light guide you into the coming year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd.

THE BALL THAT NEVER GAVE UP

In many communities across Rwanda, football begins long before a child ever touches a perfect ball. It begins with imagination, resilience, and a joy that refuses to fade. Children often play with balls that are worn-out, torn, and barely holding together. The covers split open, the threads hang loose, and the shape collapses with every kick. Yet to the children, these broken balls are treasures. They chase them across dusty fields, they practice until sunset, and they dream of becoming the players they see on screens. They never stop playing, and they never stop believing.

One day, a single broken ball sparked a new vision. Instead of seeing an object ready to be thrown away, someone saw a story of strength. They saw children whose passion was bigger than their challenges. That moment raised a powerful question: What if Rwanda could create its own footballs? What if children could finally play with balls that last, made locally and designed with their safety and dignity in mind?

This idea gave birth to AGR Ltd’s football-making project. The purpose was not to compete with major global brands but to uplift communities, empower local craft workers, and give children access to quality equipment that supports their dreams. Every ball produced carries the heart of that first worn-out ball, reminding us why this mission exists: to serve children, to honour their resilience, and to show that African-made products can meet global standards.

Today, this vision has grown into a movement. AGR Ltd is working to ensure that every child, whether in a village field or a town training ground, has a strong and safe ball to play with. Football becomes more than a sport; it becomes a tool for mentorship, character building, and discovering talent. Local manufacturing creates jobs, nurtures skills, and keeps economic value within the community. And as more children receive quality balls, more futures begin to open.

We are inviting partners who care about children and believe in the power of sports to transform lives. Foundations, churches, companies, and individuals can help sponsor balls, support academies, and expand our reach across the country. Every ball placed into the hands of a child becomes a gift of hope, a symbol of dignity, and a small push toward a brighter future.

AGR Ltd stands as proof that a dream born from a broken ball can grow into a mission that touches thousands. When we invest in children, we invest in the future. And it all began with young players who never gave up, even when the ball did.

Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd is excited to launch our newest campaign: 1,000 Balls for 100 Football Communities.

This past week, we successfully delivered 450 high-quality footballs to 45 communities across Rwanda. Through this initiative, over 10,000 children will have the opportunity to play, be mentored, stay active, and grow their football talents.

What makes this campaign even more meaningful is that every ball is proudly made in Rwanda, handcrafted by our young local artisans, 60% of whom are women. By choosing locally made balls, we are not only empowering children on the field but also creating dignified jobs and skills for Rwanda’s youth off the field.

AGR Ltd continues to collaborate with like-minded partners who share our vision of giving every child under 12 the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game of football.

Together, we are shaping a brighter future — one ball, one child, and one community at a time.

Empowering Coaches to Develop the Next Generation Through Football

A proud moment was celebrated today as 33 coaches received their CAF D License Certificates after completing training organized by Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd (AGR Ltd) in partnership with the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA).

This program equips local coaches with essential knowledge and practical skills to work with young players more effectively. The newly certified coaches will now support children sponsored by Compassion International across 11 churches, helping them to grow both in their football abilities and personal development.

At AGR Ltd, we’ve seen firsthand that children learn best through play. Football offers an engaging environment where they can build confidence, teamwork, discipline, and leadership. By investing in coach education, we’re strengthening the foundation for youth football and creating opportunities for lasting community impact.

We’re grateful for the collaboration with FERWAFA and for the commitment of every coach who completed the course. Together, we’re shaping a brighter future for the next generation, one game at a time.

Blessed Visit from Our Friends – Rob Rienow Family and Pastor Kep James

Today was a special and joy-filled day at Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd (AGR Ltd) as we welcomed our dear friends Rob Rienow and his family, together with Pastor Kep James, to our ball-making unit. Their visit brought great encouragement to our entire team and reminded us once again of how God is using this work for His glory and for the good of many families.

At AGR Ltd, we believe that football can be a powerful tool for transformation, not just on the field, but in everyday life. Through our handmade ball-making business, 30 men and women are now employed and able to feed their families through the work of their hands. Each ball represents both quality craftsmanship and a testimony of hope – showing what happens when faith meets hard work and purpose.

As our visitors toured the production area, they were inspired to see the skill, dedication, and passion behind every ball we produce. Their words of encouragement strengthened our team’s spirit and reminded us that this work is part of something much greater, a mission to bring change, dignity, and the message of Christ through sports.

We are truly grateful for their visit, their prayers, and their friendship. It is always uplifting when friends come to see what God is doing through AGR Ltd. Together, we continue to trust that every ball made here will go beyond play, it will carry hope, create opportunity, and open doors for the Gospel.

To God be the glory!

Dreams from Kagamba: When Locally Made Balls Reached Rwanda’s Schools

Who would have known that the footballs made by young Rwandan girls in Kagamba, Gicumbi District, in the Northern Province, would one day be used to launch the Rwanda School Competition under the Sport Scolaire project?

During the launch of this exciting program, I was deeply encouraged by the leaders in the education sector who commended the quality of our balls and expressed hope that they would soon be used in all schools across Rwanda.

It was a joyful moment to see the Minister of Sports and the Minister of Education personally kick our balls and enjoy playing with the children during the football festival organized by Sport Scolaire. Their participation was a powerful statement of support for locally made products and for the role of football in transforming young lives.

This milestone reminds us that football development becomes sustainable when we produce our own balls locally. We are committed to ensuring that more young players get the opportunity to play, learn, and grow—because the more they touch the ball, the more skills and techniques they develop.

Today, we proudly produce footballs of all sizes — Size 2, Size 3, Size 4, and Size 5 — right here in Rwanda.

Bana Promoted to Second Division with Intare FC

Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd is celebrating another inspiring milestone as Bana, one of our young footballers, has been promoted to the Second Division with Intare FC, where he will play as a left winger.

Bana’s journey is a beautiful story of talent, perseverance, and faith. He joined Ambassadors Football at just 11 years old, where his love for the game quickly became evident. His breakthrough came during the first ADEPR–Ambassadors Football National Tournament in 2018, where he displayed exceptional skill and determination.

Recognizing his potential, Bana was selected among the best players in 2019 and received educational sponsorship through Ambassadors Football. In 2020, he was once again chosen as one of the most talented boys, joining Sumba Secondary School to be part of the Ambassadors Football Elite Academy, a program that nurtures both football and faith development.

Beyond his talent, Bana is known for his deep love for Jesus and his close relationship with his mother, who has tirelessly supported him, often making sacrifices to ensure he has food and the strength to train. Her faith and dedication have played a vital role in shaping the young man he is today.

At Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd, we are always grateful to see young players who were nurtured in our programs grow into professional footballers. Bana’s promotion stands as a testimony of God’s faithfulness and the impact of long-term investment in young lives.

He now joins René and Didier, other Ambassadors graduates, in the professional ranks—continuing the mission of using football to develop talent, build character, and share the hope of the Gospel.

Quality Transformation – Aloys’s Journey

Aloys’s story is a testimony of how football and discipleship can bring true life change. Through his involvement in the ball-making ministry at Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd, Aloys was discipled, mentored, and guided in his faith journey.

This path led him to make the life-changing decision to follow Christ. He was baptized and later married, building a new life rooted in faith, love, and purpose.

Aloys’s transformation reminds us that ball-making is more than an economic activity. It is a ministry where lives are shaped, faith is nurtured, and communities are strengthened.

We don’t just make balls. We make disciples.

Empowering 24 Ball Stitchers through Employment

Thanks to the generous grant received from Bridges Beyond, Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd has been able to employ 24 ball stitchers in our production initiative.

This opportunity is more than just a job. It provides young men and women with steady income, practical skills, and a sense of dignity in their work. Every ball they stitch is not only built to last, but also carries with it the hope of a brighter future for their families and communities.
