Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd has taken a significant step in advancing sports development by launching the production of high-quality, locally made footballs designed for all levels of play, including size 2, 3, 4, and 5.
As a company committed to nurturing young talent and promoting sustainable solutions in sports, Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd is proud to contribute to the “Made in Rwanda” initiative through the manufacturing of footballs that reflect Rwanda’s culture, identity, and resilience.
A Vision Rooted in Purpose and Faith
Founded with the support of Ambassadors Football International, a US-based Christian organisation, the company works closely with church partners, including ADEPR, EAR Diocese of Byumba, and UEBR.
Through these partnerships, more than 8,000 children across Rwanda participate in football programs where they not only develop their skills but also grow in character and faith through learning the Word of God.
Building Local Capacity Through International Collaboration
In March 2026, Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd hosted an international coaching training program in Kigali from March 6 to 13. The training brought together coaches from across Africa, including Nigeria, Liberia, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, South Africa, and Rwanda.
These coaches underwent intensive preparation to become Trainers of other coaches in their respective countries to start the community football programs to mentor and disciple the children as they develop their God-given talent.
During the training, participants used footballs manufactured locally by Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd, demonstrating the quality and durability of Rwandan-made sports equipment.
Leadership and Community Recognition
The event was attended by the District Executive Administrator representing Nyarugenge District, who commended the company’s role in developing young talent and promoting locally made products.
He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in creating employment opportunities for youth and strengthening Rwanda’s manufacturing sector.
Commitment to Quality and Identity
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd, Pastor Seneza Jean Paul, emphasised the company’s mission:
“We are proud to produce footballs that represent Rwanda. These balls carry our identity, our culture, and our colours. Anyone who sees them can recognise that they are made in Rwanda.”
He also noted that producing footballs locally addresses the challenge of relying on imported equipment, while ensuring that the products meet the specific needs of local playing conditions.
Innovation Solving Real Challenges
The CEO of Ambassadors Football International, Jonathan Ortlip, praised the initiative, noting that previously supplied footballs were insufficient and not well-suited to Rwanda’s playing environments.
Local production, he explained, provides a sustainable and practical solution, ensuring that every child has access to quality equipment.
Developing Talent Through the Football Academy
Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd continues to play a key role in football development through its Football Academy located in Nyamagabe District.
Young players who have passed through the academy are already making significant progress in their careers. These include:
Uwineza René, now playing for Kiyovu Sports and called up to the national team, Amavubi
Mugiraneza Bizimana Didier, promoted to the senior team of Gasogi United
Bana Etienne, currently playing for Ntare FC
Their journeys reflect the impact of structured training, mentorship, and opportunity.
Strengthening Coaching and Grassroots Development
In collaboration with FERWAFA, the company has also invested in coach education. In September last year, 33 coaches from Gicumbi District completed a training program and earned a License D certification.
This initiative strengthens grassroots football and ensures that young players are guided by qualified coaches.
A Future Where Every Child Has a Ball
Ambassadors Group Rwanda Ltd is driven by a clear mission: to ensure that every child has access to a football and the opportunity to play, grow, and dream.
By combining faith, sports, local innovation, and community impact, the company is not only shaping the future of football in Rwanda but also contributing to national development and youth empowerment.
